When fancontrol fails

For a little context, one of the computers in my house is a small box running linux acting as a general purpose server. Among other things it handles my backups. Last night while adding a new computer to be backed up, it turned off. I assumed that I had accidentally hit the power switch and turned it off (though this has never happened before). Today, I tried adding this same computer to the backup rotation (since it failed due to the power off last night) and the server powered down again. I now know why this happened, and it wasn’t completely my fault.

First Post

Finally, after far too long, I’m getting my blog back online. Don’t know if I’ll update it any more now than I did before, but at least it’s back up and working. Of course as before when I ran a blog here, I can’t think of much to post at the moment, so I’ll stick with the current state of the blog.

I redesigned things. This current incarnation of the blog is running on Radiant CMS rather than the hand written PHP of the old blog. It has also been redesigned, and currently is almost perfect, there are a few bugs with the design that I’ll work out soon enough (some images are cut off in IE6 and there’s some color issues in Safari). For now though, it’s good enough to put it up.
